Eric co-founded OrgSync in 2007 with the goal of establishing OrgSync as the leading technology in campus communication. Eric has sharpened OrgSync’s strategic focus and concentrated on creating collaborative software to build an online campus. Eric founded OrgSync following a career in investment banking at MHT Partners where he focused on high growth middle market, web-based technology companies.
Prior to MHT Partners, Eric spent time with Morgan Keegan as a financial analyst on the fixed income corporate trading desk. Prior to Morgan Keegan, Eric was a Lead Project Analyst at the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Eric has also placed a strong focus on enhancing user growth and development as well as creating a secure platform for users to interact and communicate.
OrgSync is a privately-held, self-funded hosted service started in Eric Fortenberry’s Dallas apartment in October 2006, and relocated to the Silicon Hills of Austin, TX in May 2007. OrgSync strives to play an active role in the Austin, TX and higher education communities. Most recently it sponsored and raised over $1500 using social media OrgSync Blog to build wells for clean drinking water.
Eric has really come a long way from employee to entrepreneur, but he the transition came as result of a true pursuit of an ideal, and not necessarily the money.
“OrgSync has developed an unparalleled company culture, forming unique relationships with each one of our campuses. We share a vision with our clients to build a solution that will benefit the Higher Education community as a whole and accelerate student involvement and success. OrgSync has found the same zeal and values in PayPal and is excited to provide additional treasury benefits to its clients.”
